What is the feminine essence?
Great and HUGE question. The feminine essence is an infinite energy/force/expression of life that exists in all beings, male and female.
Some of my favorite defining traits of the feminine essence are connection, reflection, receptivity, adoration, relationship, desire, pleasure, attraction, creativity and emotionality.
Though all beings have both a masculine and feminine essence, the feminine essence is the primary driving force in most females (whereas the masculine essence is the primary driving force in most males.) These energies operate in all beings regardless of relationship status and sexual orientation/expression.
From a biological/physical perspective, the processes of the feminine essence can be found in the right hemisphere of our brains. From a psychological/spiritual perspective, the feminine essence is the soul/motivating force of all life.
Why does your tagline say “our feminine essence” instead of “the feminine essence”?
I chose “our feminine essence” because the feminine essence is not a solo act, meaning you can not return to it alone. The experience of the feminine essence is dependent on relationship.
Additionally, “the” is too objective and “your” is too individualistic. I respect objectivity and individualism, however for the desires of my work “our” describes it best.
Though I haven’t done so yet on this page, I also resist using “the” and “it” when discussing the feminine essence and often use “her” and “she”.
Can men return to the feminine essence?
Yes, absolutely. We all have both essences and I actually think creating awareness of our feminine essence is the idea behind most religions.
What are your spiritual views?
I had a significant love affair with buddhism that came to an abrupt end when I became a mother. Though the buddha and I broke up, I still have a huge space in my heart for all that he taught me and his teachings profoundly inform my thoughts today.
I do not believe in”God”, though I very much believe in “Good”. Whenever I am reading something that uses the word “God”, I simply replace it with “Good” and the sentence always still works perfectly.
I do believe in Goddess, though my most spiritual experience is via my emotional and sensual energy. They are a nonstop river of information that guides me to the wildest places and greatest health.
